Savoyards.
In musical theatre, he has performed with the American
Century Theatre, Signature Theatre, and the In-Series, particularly
enjoying the works of Stephen Sondheim.
As a recitalist, he has given several performances
of Schubert’s Winterreise in recent years, and appeared
in two programs at the Supreme Court of the United States, including
the Washington area premiere of Bernstein’s last major work,
Arias and Barcarolles.
He has been heard as soloist and cantor at the Basilica
of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Saint Matthew’s
Cathedral in Washington, and St. John the Beloved in McLean, Virginia.
John earned a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from
the University of Texas at Austin, and is a student of Anastasios
Vrenios.
