Tad Czyzewski (Damis, Tartuffe; Dr. Gregg, Gallantry) has become a performer in demand with numerous ensembles around the Washington, DC area. He has appeared with The Forgotten Opera Company, Summer Opera Theatre Company, Cathedral Choral Society, Masterworks Chorus (now the National Philharmonic Chorale), Maryland Choral Society, and Choralis. He recently returned from Alaska where he performed several lead roles in the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival.

Among the roles in his operatic and musical theater repertoire are Marcello in La Boheme, Germont in La Traviata, Malatesta in Don Pasquale, Valentin in Faust, Wolfram in Tannhäuser, Ezio in Attila, Rodrigo in Don Carlo, Dr. Gregg in Gallantry, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, the Messenger in Il Trovatore, and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls. He has also appeared in area productions of I Pagliacci, Gianni Schicchi, Cavalleria Rusticana, and Il Barbiere di Siviglia.

Mr. Czyzewski’s concert performances have included the Brahms Ein Deutsches Requiem, Handel Messiah, Mendelssohn St. Paul, Fauré Requiem, Duruflé Requiem, Schubert Mass in C, Mozart Missa Brevis in B Flat (K.275), excerpts of Bernstein’s Mass, and the Washington, DC premiere of Rutter’s Mass of the Children.

In addition to his concert and operatic appearances, Mr. Czyzewski is also a professional chorister with both the Master Chorale of Washington and St. John’s Catholic Parish in McLean, VA. He continues to pursue his vocal studies and currently works with John Fiorito.
