Kiersten received her Bachelor of Music from Bucknell University where she studied with Susan Beckley and Dr. Catherine Payn, in addition to working with the Bucknell Opera Company. Currently, she studies with Carol Schuster Yunkunis and received her Master of Arts Administration in August 2004. When she is not leading the crazy life of a “young mezzo” (translation = many-a-trouser role for her!!) she can be found teaching middle school music and theatre in Howard County, Maryland or working as a dental assistant in Georgetown. She is currently planning the biggest production of her life: her wedding to the wonderful Todd Whitehead.
