Blair Eig (Orgon-Tartuffe; Il Commendatoreador-The Stoned Guest, Masetto-Don Giovanni; Bartolo/Antonio-Marriage of Figaro) has found a comfy home in comic bass/baritone land, appearing in over thirty productions with the Victorian Lyric Opera Company and the Washington Savoyards. Favorite roles include the title role in The Mikado, the Sergeant of Police in The Pirates of Penzance, Dick Deadeye in HMS Pinafore and Arac in Princess Ida. He has most recently been seen as the Usher in Trial by Jury (Savoyards), Ali

Ben Ali in Desert Song (VLOC), Bartolo & Antonio in The Marriage of Figaro (FOC), and the Spokesman in The Magic Flute (VLOC). He has also appeared with Opera International and the Potomac Theater Company, and just last month as Wilfred Shadbolt in VLOC’s The Yeomen of the Guard. Opera by night, doctor by day – Blair is the Chief Medical Officer at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland.
