| Osa Oyegun (Announcer-Gallantry)
debuts with the company in Random Acts of Opera. The Nigerian-born
mezzo-soprano, has performed with opera companies throughout the Washington,
DC metro area. Recently, she performed in the Washington National
Opera’s production of Porgy and Bess, as a member of
the chorus. In 2005, Osa was presented with an opportunity to perform
in Beijing, China, as part of a quartet of singers. Ms. Oyegun has
performed with the Washington Savoyards (Trial by Jury/ La
Perichole, Bridesmaid/ensemble), the |

| Victorian Lyric Opera Company (Orpheus in the
Underworld, Muse), as a soloist with the Friday Morning Music
Club, the University of Maryland Chorus, and the Montgomery College
Chorus. As well as opera, Ms. Oyegun is also comfortable performing
oratorio and musical theatre. She has performed in shows such as
Oklahoma!, Cabaret, and Bye-Bye, Birdie!
and also sung the soprano II and alto solos in the Saint-Saens Christmas
Oratorio, Vivaldi Gloria, Haydn Nelson Mass, and Mozart Requiem.
Osa received a Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance from
the University of Maryland, College Park. In the past, she has studied
with Dr. Molly Donnelly and currently studies with Louise Urban.
She has studied the roles of Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro,
Mozart) and Siebel (Faust, Gounod), as well as contemporary
music by Ricky Ian Gordon, Adam Guettel, and Harold Arlen. In 2005,
Osa founded a caroling group (St. Nick Carolers), who have performed
for clients such as the Washington Wizards. Ms. Oyegun resides in
Fairfax, Virginia.
