Deborah Thurlow (Dorine, Tartuffe)
is pleased to make her company debut reprising the role of Dorine.
She loves performing in opera, music theatre, oratorio and recital
genres. She has appeared with organizations such as Washington Savoyards,
The Light Opera Company of Southern Maryland, Interact Theatre Company,
Eldbrooke Players, the Opera Theatre of Northern Virginia, Friday
Morning Music Club Chorale and Orchestra, Columbia Collegiate Chorale
and the New England Youth Ensemble. An active recitalist, Ms Thurlow
has performed at the Britten-Pears School for Advanced Musical Studies
in Aldeburgh, England, Strathmore Hall, the Corcoran Gallery of
Art, the Folger Shakespeare Theatre, Dumbarton House, Baltimore’s
Bau House, Hood College, Old Town Hall of Fairfax, and the Charles
Sumner Museum. She has premiered works by composers Ron Warren,
Winifred Hyson, Alan Newhouse and Elaine Erickson. Ms. Thurlow is
co-owner of The Musical Source, Inc., Washington, DC’s largest
sheet music retailer, and is soprano soloist for Sixth Church Christ
Scientist, DC. She holds degrees from Peabody Conservatory, as well
as Columbia Union College, where she is a voice instructor and Director
of the Performance Workshop..
