As part of Random Acts of Opera, The Forgotten Opera Company is presenting Douglas Moore's delightful Gallantry, a spoof of soap operas of the late 1950's. In the cast are three singers making their Forgotten Opera debuts: Soprano Diane Atherton as Lola Markham, the Nurse/Anesthetist; Mezzo-soprano Osa Oyegun as the Announcer, and Baritone Tad Czyzewski as Dr. Gregg. Philip Bender, last seen in our 2005 Don Giovanni is Donald Hopewell, the patient. Deborah Niezgoda will direct, and John Boulanger makes his Forgotten Opera Company conducting debut. LeeAnna Xanthos-McQueen is the pianist.
