The Telephone is an intimate two-character
piece. Though certain aspects of the story may seem dated (when was
the last time you used a rotary dial on a
telephone?) one central idea of the action—trying
to connect with other human beings in this "Information Age"—is
universal and timeless. Denise
Young plays Lucy and John
Boulanger is Ben. Guillaume Tourniaire debuts as director, and
Victoria Gau is the pianist.
